AI is transforming industries, from environmental monitoring to energy efficiency and security. In energy and heavy industries, drones, cameras, and satellites generate vast amounts of visual data, creating a bottleneck in processing and analysis. Traditionally reliant on labor-intensive methods, AI now enables more accurate insights for environmental monitoring paving the way for smarter, more sustainable practices across sectors.
There is an urgent need to double the pace of global energy efficiency improvements to meet climate goals and remain competitive in a world rapidly transitioning to cleaner energy. In the energy sector, AI is optimising systems to reduce energy waste, conserve resources, and lower operational cost—savings that can be passed on to consumers and invested in further innovation.
In this Energy AI Talk, Reza Zadeh, CEO, Matroid, will showcase compelling case studies that highlight the positive impact of visual analytics on operational efficiency and safety in the energy sector, illustrating how AI enhances infrastructure monitoring, detects anomalies, and optimises resource management.
