Aravind Yarlagadda is Senior Vice President of IET Industrial Solutions at Baker Hughes. He joined the company in August 2023 and brings to this role, more than 20 years’ experience building and leading digital solutions businesses at large industrials. Yarlagadda previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer for Eaton Corporation, global power management company where he led the enterprise-wide digital transformation efforts and was primarily responsible for building the digital business for the industrial and electrical sectors. Prior to that he served in executive roles at Itron and Schneider Electric where he led and grew the software and services businesses across multiple industry segments. Earlier in his career, Yarlagadda led technology strategy for Tyco Retail Solutions as VP and Chief Technology Officer, growing the hardware, software and R&D capabilities for the business. He began his career in product development at IBM where he was responsible for driving quality improvement, new product introductions and user experience across multiple enterprise software product lines. Yarlagadda holds a MBA in Technology Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of California, a master’s degree in Computer Science from the Texas A&M University and a bachelor’s degree in electronics and Instrumentation from BITS Pilani in India.
Technology has the potential to accelerate the transition of the energy sector to a low-carbon and clean energy system and contribute to meeting ambitious climate targets in time and in a just and equitable manner.
