Long-term commitment to climate action
In recognition of how important it is for the wider energy ecosystem to contribute to advancing global decarbonisation, ADIPEC has become a signatory of the UNFCCC’s Climate Neutral Now Pledge to reduce the environmental impact and carbon footprint of the event.
ADIPEC has signed the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s (UNFCCC) Climate Neutral Now Pledge, by which we are stating our intention to estimate the event’s greenhouse gas emissions, to try to reduce them, to consider offsetting them, and to report them annually.
The Climate Neutral Now Initiative is one of several initiatives launched by the UNFCCC secretariat to increase climate action by engaging governments, companies, organizations and individuals. The Initiative encourages and supports organizations to act now in order to achieve a climate neutral world by 2050, as enshrined in the Paris Agreement.
