Norbert joined GIDARA Energy in 2022 and was appointed CEO in 2023. Prior to that he spent more than 25 years in the energy industry. 19 of those years were in BP where he enjoyed an international career holding senior positions working across the Petrochemicals, Downstream and Upstream businesses. His last role was Chief Commercial Officer of Air bp with global responsibility for Supply, Trading, Sales and Marketing. In 2017, Norbert took over as Managing Director of VARO Energy Germany where he built and materially grew an integrated Fuels Value Chain operating from refining to the end consumer.

Norbert holds a Chemistry degree from the University of Bonn (Germany) and PhD in Chemistry from the University of York (UK).
