As the Nuclear Research and Development Vice President at Emirates Nuclear energy Corporation (ENEC), Ahmed Al Mazrouei is responsible for the development of the nuclear R&D program for ENEC. He is responsible for the initiation, management, and operation of the UAE Nuclear Energy Research Program.

Al Mazrouei joined ENEC in 2010 as Deputy Chief Nuclear Officer before moving on to become Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Barakah One Company, ENEC’s subsidiary in charge of managing the commercial interests of the Barakah project. He then assumed the responsibilities of Chief Operating Officer of ENEC, before taking on a special assignment as Advisor to the Chairman at the Abu Dhabi Department of Transport.

Al Mazrouei started his career in the oil and gas sector at the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in 1999 before moving to Dolphin Energy in 2002.

Al Mazrouei earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Colorado School of Mines in the United States with a major in chemical and petroleum refining engineering and a minor in economics. He also obtained his Master Degree from the UAE National Defense College in National Strategic Studies.
