Dr. Binitha G is currently assigned as Manager of the Battery Research Lab at Hindustan Petroleum Green R&D Center, Bangalore, India. With a Ph.D. in Nanotechnology and Bachelors in Chemical Engineering, her expertise lies in the design and development of advanced materials for high-power rechargeable battery applications. Prior joining the Maharatna company HPCL, she was working as Research Scientist at Amrita Center for Nanosciences and Molecular Medicine, Kerala, India.

Dr. Binitha has over 30 peer reviewed journal publications and 16 patents to her credit. She has presented her research at numerous national and international conferences, further showcasing her contributions to advancements in energy storage technology. Additionally, Dr. Binitha has been a recipient of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) RESPOND Fellowship and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) fellowship from the Government of India.

Dr. Binitha is currently focusing on cutting-edge energy storage technologies such as, lithium-ion batteries, sodium ion batteries, and supercapacitors. Her goal is to drive innovation in battery technology, mentor future scientists, and propel the research and development efforts at Hindustan Petroleum Green R&D, HPCL, to new heights.
