Roland is a PhD Chemist with more than 17 years of experience in the chemical industry at the BASF. Roland worked for several years at BASF’s headquarters in Germany on R&D projects and incremental process optimizations, before moving with BASF to the Middle East. In the Middle East, Roland has occupied several roles in business development and sales management before taking over the leadership of the Process Catalysts team in 2020 responsible for Middle East and Africa. In his various roles at BASF, Roland developed and promoted Sustainable Solutions to BASF’s customers. This ADIPEC 2024, Roland is proud to present BASF’s novel purification technologies of waste plastics pyrolysis oils, and is looking forward to connecting and discussing the challenges and opportunities for a more sustainable future with the chemists and engineers in the chemical industry.
