Marco Verna is a seasoned professional with over 18 years of experience in the field of downstream engineering and project management. As the former Head of Global Market for Downstream at T.EN X, he excelled in various facets of the industry, from concept design to engineering and troubleshooting of downstream Units, Utilities, and Off-sites facilities. His expertise extended to Proposals, Master planning, and Process Consultancy Services, where he contributed to Concept Definition, Feasibility Studies, Basic studies, and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED). Notably, Marco Verna was an esteemed member of the Technip Expert Network, specializing in Master Planning and Economic and Financial analysis.

In September 2022, Marco embarked on a new professional journey, joining Genesis Energies as the Head of Downstream Market. In this role, he assumed the pivotal responsibility of developing and implementing the strategic vision to establish Genesis as a prominent player in the Downstream sector. His leadership also encompassed managing the Order intake for the Global Downstream Market, with a particular emphasis on Biofuels and sustainability initiatives.

Further demonstrating his commitment to growth and expansion, Marco took on additional responsibilities in July 2023 within T.EN X Global Downstream Markets. His focus shifted towards promoting Genesis services and fostering synergy between Genesis and Project Management Consulting (PMC), Asset Lifecycle Excellence (ALE), and Loading Systems (Products).

Throughout his illustrious career, Marco Verna held various key positions, including Proposal & Project Manager. In this capacity, he provided invaluable expertise in the Advisory realm, offering Economic and Financial analysis tailored to support Business Development Teams in project acquisition efforts. Notable achievements in his career include serving as a Study Manager for Green Hydrogen projects, speaking at international conferences, and actively engaging in business development activities to promote advisory services to key customers.

Moreover, Marco served as a Lead Process Consultant for Refinery Configuration Studies, both for grassroots projects and upgrading initiatives. His proficiency extended to conducting in-depth Economic and Financial analyses, including the utilization of advanced methodologies such as the Monte Carlo Method and SWOT Analyses. He was also adept at negotiating terms and conditions with banks and ECAs, ensuring the financial viability of projects.

Additionally, Marco Verna's innovative contributions included designing an Advanced Multiphase Economic and Financial MS Excel Model, a valuable asset within the Technip Energies know-how. He further showcased his technical prowess as an Advanced User and Trainer of Aspen PIMS, a crucial tool for refinery optimization.
