Mr. Srinivasulu Kaalva is a process technology expert specializing in Hydroprocessing and Distillation. He is credited with developing various technologies, including Dividing Wall Column (DWC) technology for gasoline maximization, Green diesel from Jatropha oil, selective hydrogenation of furfural, and co-processing of vegetable oils in existing refinery hydroprocessing units. With an in-depth knowledge of hydroprocessing, he has also designed and set up the High Throughput Reactor System at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL). Mr. Kaalva holds a master's degree in Chemical Engineering from IIT Guwahati and has 17 years of experience at BPCL. Currently, he is actively working on developing process technologies to produce naphthenic base oils from refinery streams, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), solvents from plastic pyrolysis oil, and Group III lube base stock from used lube oil.
