Julian Panter is CEO of innovative maritime technology company SmartSea, which offers an integrated maritime management platform with a broad portfolio of services for both onboard and ashore. Powered by SITA, the global leader in technology solutions for the air transport industry, SmartSea offers a one-stop shop solution built on solid foundations and proven methodology in the aviation industry. Julian has more than 20 years’ experience in the maritime and oil and gas industries, mainly in the Middle East, and is highly skilled in support services, business development, strategy, and leadership. His prior leadership positions include work for Aramco and International Maritime Industries in Saudi Arabia, and Lamprell in the United Arab Emirates. With operational, managerial, and board member experience, Julian is considered one of the most knowledgeable and hard-working leaders in maritime today, and is passionate about the potential of using technology, digital solutions, and software to transform maritime’s logistics value chain. Educated in the UK, he holds a Masters' Degree in Human Resource Management (MA) from Middlesex University, a Masters' Business Administration (MBA) from Manchester Business School, and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (MCIPD). Julian is based in Cyprus.
